15 Jul 2008 - Hillcrest Camp Diary Day 1 & 2

DAY 1 in the Hillcrest house
 
9.05am. coach not here
11.30am coach still not here!
11.55am coach finally arrives and we head off! Hooray!
12.00 midday Mr C already fed up with the singing.
1.20pm arrived Beechenhurst - lunch, toiletted.  Walked around the sculpture trail.... yay!
back on coach. arrived at Hillcrest at 3.30
settled in, roomed in our luxury accommodation, met the 'groupies', played games and ran around.
5.00pm fed and watered.
6.00pm 'Wacky Races' were enjoyed by all.
9.00pm Housemates summoned to dairy room for circle time. Staff disappointed no hot chocolate and cake as promised!

DAY 2 in the Hillcrest House


6.00am - Mrs D outside house with cuppa T number 3 to escape stampede to toilets!
8.00am Full English Breakfast enjoyed by all followed by a fun filled morning including:
Kayaking, fencing, trapeze.


Hannah overcame her fear of the trapeze and flew through the air with the greatest of ease!


Kayakers capsized a lot, but enjoyed every minute. Callum, Callum and Nicole threw thmselves into it with gusto and performed amaaaaaaaaaaaaazingly.


Mrs D murdered the competition in fencing.


12.30 LUNCH - Delicious soup followed by a choice of baguettes and fillings to energise them, ready for the afternoon's activities.

 

1.30pm - Afternoon activities commenced including zipwire, climbing, mud challenge and low ropes.


Harrison whizzed up the climbing wall at a rate of knots, as did Ben M.
Mr C had a minor heart attack on the zip wire, but was inspired by Helen's fearless attitude as well as Skye's awesome performance.


Georgia, Jamie, Chloe G and Emily improved their spray tans in the mud challenge - Mr M joined them and got a bit muddy!


5.30pm We were provided with a sumptuous tea with numerous gastronomic delights.


7.30pm All of the housemates on field, playing Cluedo.
